A Collection of Haikus #1
I usually write free verse poetry, but I decided to experiment with Haikus. Here is my first collection of haiku poetry.
1. New Beginnings
New beginnings filled with dread, Until the clouds start to part, Comforting my heart.
2. Hummingbirds
Stillness in the air, Before the hummingbirds sung, Melting my worries away.
3. It Feels Lonely Over Here
It feels lonely over here, When you scream into the void, And there is only silence.
4. When the Whispers Sing
When the whispers sing, And the silence becomes loud, A new day has begun.
5. Home Alone
This Haiku was inspired by a prompt from
Stillness in the air. A sudden chill filled my bones. I was now home alone.
6. Spring
Cherry blossoms grow, Laughter and joy fill the air, Spring has finally come .
