Beautifully written and the fact that you highlight it was written much earlier than 2023 is a fact.

I know ordinary people care. When I first wrote this poem I was so angry at the US government and their complicity in this genocide so this poem was initially written with them in mind because let’s face it they don’t care .

Amazing poem and so important!

Also I feel like we need more political and important poetry like this here and in the world.

Mainstream media is a scam, I don't even bother. The socially connected are looking at alternate news sources and also mainstream has just become an echo chamber for the morally bankrupt.

I think part of it is that, its so difficult. you find yourself not wanting to see anymore.

Thank you for commenting and I completely agree with you. It is very difficult to see but we can’t forget and we can’t turn a blind eye because the people of Palestine have been suffering for a lifetime.

I have been here. When I feel like this, I have to take a break, practice some self care, and then go back to witnessing, speaking out, and donating when I can. My hope is that while I have tapped out, someone else is tuning in.

I’m in the US, and there has been so silence on Palestine lately. Our news is censored and we are trying to fight a dictatorship, but I hope other places are still reporting on the genocide.

It’s so overwhelming trying to fight all the injustices at once. We need to organize and delegate so that we can make sure all the bases are covered, otherwise we will burn out, and we won’t be able to help anyone.

Thank you for commenting. I agree it's very frustrating. I am also in the U.S. and I have also noticed how the mainstream media have not really covered what is happening in Palestine. @Zeteo is one of the few media outlets that has been reporting on Palestine in the United States, if you want something that has actual coverage of Palestine.

I just subscribed— thank you! Before I got off meta platforms I was following motaz azaiza on Instagram for on the ground coverage. He was able to escape, but the images and footage he shared will haunt me forever.
